Prevention of Contamination
Basket has stopped for a few seconds while shifting from one beaker to another to allow excess reagent to drain off. This prevents the carryover of chemicals between solutions, reduces contamination, and helps maintain the purity of each reagent stage, ensuring proper tissue processing and accurate results.
Safety Feature
The tissue processor has a safety feature in which, if the wax is not properly melted, the tissue basket automatically stops at station 10–11 and remains there until the required temperature is reached. This prevents improper infiltration of wax, avoids damage to the tissue, and ensures accurate and effective tissue processing.
